325 MORÈS PHOTOGRAPHE. Au Grand Temple de Karnak. 1er janvier 1927. 41 original silver-print photographs, numbered 330-372, mounted on 20 heavy card album leaves, each mount blindstamped at lower right "Morès, Photographe de S.M. le Roi, Alexandrie." Each ca. 112 x 167 mm.(ca. 5 3/8 x 6 1/2 inches). The letterpress title-page/cover also carries the blindstamped credit. Oblong folio. New custom-made album (boards, 3/4 green calf, secured with silk cord). The photographs record the visit of a large and clearly important delegation to inspect conservation work in progress at Karnak, and, apparently, new archaeological projects. The series opens with the arrival of the group in a convoy of automobiles, and closes with their departure, depicting majestic aspects of the architecture of the temple, as well as the posed dignitaries.
